Breaking The Cycle of Addiction:

The Alcohol Abuse Deterrent Program (AADP) aims to permanently interrupt the vicious cycle of addiction. Clients of AADP come from all walks of life and from all economic backgrounds. The program is designed to interrupt the cycle of alcohol addiction first by the use of a medical intervention and then by continued counseling to help the addicted individual regain their dignity and self-respect.

The medical intervention includes the use of Antabuse (Disulfiram), a drug that causes the alcohol user to become physically ill if alcohol is consumed. It is recognized that the use of Antabuse will generally not break the addiction cycle, by regardless of other significant problems confronting the substance abuser, abstinence is essential before those problems can be successfully addressed and resolved.
